Awards

The UMA Awards Committee recognizes organizations that develop innovative, quality ways to approach ministry that exemplify EAGLE excellence. Awards nominations are open to all EAGLE and UMA members. There are two ways an organization can be nominated:

Award nominations are reviewed annually, and awards are presented at UMA’s Annual Meeting, April 16-17, 2018 in Nashville. The deadline for award submissions is Friday, January 31, 2018.

Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices
Lebanon, OH

for its

“Be Bold Adventure Group”

The program is designed to provide the young at heart with bold new experiences. The program motto is: Not old, BOLD!

The adventurers participate in many activities, including go-cart racing, river rafting and zip lines. The group trained and competed in the Ohio Senior Olympics, winning 17 Medals.

The renewed energy is not just for the residents. Employees who join the seniors witness excitement, smiles and fellowship. One employee stated, “There was delight in their faces as they realized there is no age limit on fun.”

The adventure group loves to talk about their experiences to family and friends…especially to their grandkids who think their adventuresome grandparents are pretty cool.
