Thank you for supporting the ministry of UMA! As a membership association, we are strong because our members and other friends become actively involved. You can become involved in a variety of ways:
By making a donation.
As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, donations to UMA are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. Because of the complexity of our nation’s tax laws, we are unable to refund donations.
By paying membership dues
We are unable to refund membership dues.
By registering and attending events
In general, we are unable to grant refunds for event registration. However, if you would like to request a refund you must do so in writing, with your request received at the UMA postal address appearing above within one week of having registered. Whether or not we are able to grant the refund request depends on a number of factors, including whether we have incurred expenses in relation to your registration, and whether we still have outstanding financial obligations for the event. The decision to grant or to deny a request is at the sole discretion of the President/CEO of UMA.
By purchasing materials from UMA
We offer a small selection of printed materials and occasionally produce items such as lapel pins and other products to promote our programs and services. All orders for products may be cancelled and a refund given if a request is made in writing and delivered to the postal address appearing above within three days. After that, we are unable to grant a refund, but will be happy to exchange any defective items.
By utilizing UMA’s Field Consultation Program and services
We are available to consult with organizations on a variety of topics, such as management, governance and other topics relevant to our Association membership. UMA bills for those services after they are delivered and therefore cannot grant a refund.
