UMA Welcomes Jill Myers
Jill Myers has joined the UMA team as interim Director of EAGLE Accreditation. She steps into this position under an employee-sharing agreement forged with The Methodist Home for Children in Macon, GA, an EAGLE-accredited organization.
Jill has served on the UMA Board of Directors from 2012 to 2016 and on the EAGLE Accreditation Commission for the past five years. She has also dedicated countless hours as an EAGLE peer reviewer.
Jill has served at The Methodist Home for Children and Youth for over 27 years. She has a B.S. in Psychology and an MPA from Georgia College. As Executive Vice President, she has led her organization’s quality processes, organized accreditation activities, overseen Admissions, and the Early Learning Center. She has guided The Methodist Home through both COA and EAGLE Accreditations since 1996, becoming a peer reviewer and ultimately team leader for both bodies.
Jill brings to UMA extensive knowledge of the EAGLE principles and processes, strong relationships with UMA and EAGLE organizations and a deep commitment to, and passion for, EAGLE.
“Jill Myers has been a leader and voice for quality for many years. She successfully lead the COA and Eagle accreditation processes for The Methodist Home for Children on multiple occasions. Her experience as a peer reviewer for both accreditation bodies has prepared her for this role with UMA. As Executive Vice President, she routinely handles complex and sensitive projects with ease. I am thrilled she will be able to share her expertise and knowledge with our UMA colleagues across the nation.” – Alison Evans, President/CEO, The Methodist Home for Children and Youth
She resigned her position on the EAGLE Accreditation Commission to serve on the UMA team. Please join us in welcoming Jill to her new role at UMA.
